A Commitment to Public Service

After 20+ years in the military and years teaching in public schools, I’ve seen the challenges and potential of rural Maine. I’m running to ensure every voice in District 27 is heard in Augusta, not just the loudest. My mission: strengthen communities, support families, and build lasting prosperity through local control, practical solutions, and free-market policies.

Three Pillars for Rural Maine

Education

Strong schools teach critical thinking, real-world skills, and shared community values. I support local control and giving parents and teachers a real voice in decision-making.

Healthcare & EMS

No family should wonder if help will arrive in an emergency. I’ll expand EMS services and improve rural healthcare infrastructure.

Housing

Affordable housing keeps families rooted. I support responsible development, reduced regulation, and free-market solutions while preserving our towns’ character.

Mission Statement

“Empowering communities, building partnerships, and creating a future where every family has the opportunity to thrive.”

LD 1500: Local Solutions for Rural Main

LD 1500 allows the state to invest in Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs)—local, mission-driven lenders that already work in rural Maine—so they can help finance projects traditional banks often won’t.  Read my blog to learn more.

With nearly 29% of registered voters, Maine’s unenrolled voters are a political force equal to either major party. They represent more than independence — they form a third bloc of influence that campaigns must engage if they hope to win in Maine’s semi-open and ranked-choice voting (RCV) environment.

Free Markets & the Role of Government in Maine

What role should government actually play—and where should it step back? In this post, I explain why Adam Smith’s ideas still matter for Maine, especially in our rural communities.
